EMILE in Sweden Sweden is the lead partner in the EMILE-project. As well as working with our Swedish material we are at the same time responsible for the coordination of the activities between the countries. To work with this coordination there are two project leaders: Barbro Mellquist and Dan Malmsten and one Art director: Mats Gilstring who is mostly engaged in the touring exhibitions and the catalogue. The Swedish material is based on a collection of letters in Kisa in the southern part of Östergötland. We have chosen Ing-Marie Wallin to work with these letters. She knows this collection well and will as our local professional search in the collection and write articles for the website. She will also gather more letters and coordinate other local arrangements connected to the project. The photos that are used in the project mostly belong to the Archives of Local History/The Collection of Emigrant Letters in Kinda, otherwise there is information on the origin below the photo.
