YOUNG EMILE

Close to the EMILE project, the Autonomous Province of Trento and the Association “Trentini in the World” carry on the pilot-project called “Young EMILE”. The goals of the project are:
- to increase participation and awareness of the migration phenomena among young people (mainly primary and high school students);
- to develop educational means to work on migration matters and on the themes of the intercultural society;
- compare past and new migration, starting from personal experiences.

The basic educational path is structured into 4 main interventions lasting 2 hours each:
1. introduction to the history of the regional and local migration;
2. meeting with an emigrant
3. cognitive approach to migration dynamics
4. meeting with an immigrant and conclusive remarks.

The students’ discussions, compositions and drawings will be collected and displayed during the itinerant exhibition of the EMILE project, in addition to the project website.
